What’s in a Dried Brewer’s Yeast?

Dried Brewer’s Yeast or Beer Yeast Powder, which is a by-product from the beer making factories Viet Nam Brewery (Heineken & Tiger Beer) and Sabeco (SaiGon beer) will be delivered to the factory by tank truck. This fresh spent yeast will be stored in tanks before being dried by the rotary drum dryers. This process uses a steam heated drum that material dries on the hot surface and is removed with a knife system. The dried yeast is then ground in a precision grinder to 100 mesh powder and bagged for sale domestically and for export. It has a characteristic smell makes livestock animals gluttons.

This Beer Yeast Powder is high protein (40% – 46%) and contains 18 free amino acids, lipids, minerals and especially many types of B vitamins: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6,…, and Beta – glucan which increasing the resistance, helps absorption of food supplements and minerals necessary for the development of livestock.

HANTA Dried Brewer Yeast

                                                  PRODUCT’S  FUNCTIONS and BENEFITS

  1. High Digestible Protein:
Dried Brewer’s Yeast contains up to 40–45% crude protein with excellent amino acid balance, promoting healthy growth and muscle development.

  2. Immune System Support:
Natural components such as β-glucans and mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) strengthen immunity, helping animals resist bacterial and viral infections.

  3. Improved Gut Health:
The yeast cell wall acts as a natural prebiotic, enhancing gut microbiota balance and nutrient absorption — leading to better feed efficiency and performance.

  4. Rich in B Vitamins and Minerals:
These nutrients help maintain energy metabolism, reduce stress during transportation or heat, and improve overall vitality.

  5. Sustainable and Eco-Friendly:
Brewer’s Yeast is a by-product of the beer industry, making it a renewable and friendly protein source.
